Commercial electrical work, explained
Commercial work is mostly about planning. Before we start, we agree the programme, the isolation times and who needs to know. Where the work would interrupt trading, we can schedule it early, late or at weekends, and we say so in the quote rather than adding it afterwards.
We work on small and medium commercial premises: offices, shops, cafés, salons, clinics, workshops and units. We work within an existing installation, extend it for new layouts, and leave you with test results and drawings of what changed.

We look at the existing installation, explain what we find and send a fixed written quote that says exactly what is included.

Tested, certified, handed over
Every circuit is tested. You receive the certificate, a labelled circuit chart and a walk-round of what was done.

Can you work outside our trading hours?
Yes. Early starts, evenings and weekends are planned into the programme and priced in the quote, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
How often does a commercial installation need inspecting?
The recommended interval depends on the type of premises: typically five years for offices and shops, and shorter for places such as hospitality kitchens or premises with public access. Your insurer or landlord may also set their own requirement. We confirm the right interval on the report.
Do you test emergency lighting?
We install it, carry out the annual full-duration test, and show you how to do the simple monthly functional check yourselves, with a log book to record it.
Can you work with our shopfitter or builder?
Yes. We regularly work alongside other trades on fit-outs and agree first-fix and second-fix dates with them at the start.
